He has goons at the ready to kill you, but you can get out of it if your Intimidate skill is 30 or higher. When you go back to Edgewater to collect the power regulator you’ll need to confront him. She thanks you for your help and asks you why you did it, and then tells you you’re always welcome among the Deserters. You can go back and see Adelaide but she doesn’t give out any extra rewards.
